Quality Assurance Engineer

Next I.T. is looking for the ideal candidate to join the team working to ensure high quality in a diverse set of software applications. The role requires ability to collaborate with multiple people on and off site in a fast paced work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing both core component software and integrated packages to be installed at client sites. This can include running performance tests and building installers.  Understanding of client needs and software capability will facilitate creation and use of good test scripts. The team is also responsible for setting up and maintaining builds and the associated test environments to support both external and internal software projects.

Qualifications: Requires the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Requirements include testing of both Web and Desktop applications; creating, running and maintaining test cases and creating and maintaining defect reports. Familiarity with set up and use of load testing and automated testing tools is an asset. Software development experience is desirable; .NET framework experience is a plus. Applied knowledge of Internet Information Services and Windows Server 2003 machines along with experience with scripting languages is helpful but not required.

Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
