Software Engineer

Next IT is looking for a Software Developer to design, create, test, and maintain web applications. This person would develop the front-end systems for Next IT's Natural Language Applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build networked and distributed applications (usually web services).
• Work directly with customers to determine their technical requirements.
• Implement customizations on top of a core framework.
• Work closely with project teams to coordinate implementation and software maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 4-6 years of combined experience in .NET and Java environments or a combination of related education and experience.
• Strong skills in .Net 2.0 Framework programming. 
• Experience with Javascript, XML, AJAX, CSS, SOAP.
• Experience with RDBMS products and tools (ORACLE, MS SQL Server,DB2).
• 2-3 years dot net programming experience or 1 year of dot net experience and 3-5 years of Java experience.
• Strong skills with Design Patterns, TDD, and OO methods.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Fast learner with the necessary skills to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Self-directed with the ability to assign your own tasks and provide progress reports.
• Proven ability to gather customer requirements.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
