NEXT IT IS FINALIST FOR TWO INDUSTRY ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS


Next IT’s Fred Brown and ActiveAgent™ chosen as finalists for Technology Innovator and Breakthrough Technology of the Year.

Spokane, Wa. (January 11, 2008) - Next IT is proud to have been named a finalist in two categories for Washington Software Association's (WSA) Annual Industry Achievement Awards including "Breakthrough Technology of the Year" and "Technology Innovator of the Year" for our very own Fred Brown.As a finalist for these awards, Next IT Corporation is among the likes of past winners including Tableau Software, INRIX Inc. and Concur® Technologies.

Next IT was the only finalist from Eastern Washington, and the only company chosen as a finalist for two awards from the largest and oldest state-wide technology trade association.

Next IT’s ActiveAgent, nominated for Breakthrough Technology of the Year. ActiveAgent™, is creating a new category of enterprise-wide intelligent customer experience applications. At the core of the technology is its ability to interact with users via a natural language interface, known as the agent. The agent can retrieve information across databases, answer questions and clarify user intent by asking follow up questions when needed. This fundamentally changes the way users interact with Web sites by minimizing the time it takes customers to find the information they are searching for. ActiveAgent™ made its national debut in 2006 with SGT STAR on the US Army’s www.goarmy.com site and most recently launched Ask Jenn on Alaska Airlines’ www.alaska.com site.

Fred Brown, President and CEO of Next IT Corporation, was been nominated for the Technology Innovator Award for his vision of personalizing and humanizing Web-user interactions through Next IT's ActiveAgent product. Brown's philosophy is to hire people with integrity, work to be the first in the marketplace, the best in the marketplace using innovation and focus on delivering what you said you would deliver.

WSA received a record number of entries this year for the 13th Annual Industry Achievement Awards. The awards were handed out on Feb. 7, 2008 at the Westin Hotel in Seattle. The event attracts more than 1,000 business and community leaders each year.
