Hackers go the Distance to Stay Competitive

Posted by Next IT on Jun 4, 2012 12:45:32 PM

You may think that when the day ends, the employees of Next IT put the day’s challenges to rest and head on home. While that’s true for many, a dedicated few are logging extra hours to keep the company competitive.

The Hackers, as the Next IT softball team is known, have defied all odds: made up of developers, engineers and natural language specialists, they’re currently #1 in the league. And while a few players were college athletes, most picked up a softball for the first time only a few years ago. “How do they do it?!” you may ask. It hasn’t been easy, but with the right amount of luck, skill and “McCaberade”*, the Hackers have found the perfect combination for a winning season.

To date, the fan base has consisted primarily of Walt, George and Milo, but there’s been speculation that their loyalty can be attributed to the fact they are all dogs, and lack any real interest in the game. In the future, the Hackers would love to have some human support! If you’d like to attend a game, please email Chandra (CTurner@NextIT.com) for the team schedule. In addition to enjoying riveting sports action, we think you’ll find that the dive bar outing afterwards can be even better!

Full disclosure notice: The hackers are in the  DV League. Yes, the lowest league possible.
